A Brief History

Founded in 1947, Appalachian Tire Products, Inc. now operates 25 stores located in West Virginia, Kentucky, Virginia, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Tennessee.  We also have two state-of-the-art Goodyear Authorized Retread plants.  Appalachian Tire employs approximately 275 people and has well over 120 vehicles to help meet our customers’ needs.

At Appalachian Tire Products, we offer tires ranging in size from a 4 inch wheel barrow tire to a twelve foot tall earth mover tire.  We carry quality Goodyear, Kelly, Dunlop, Cordovan, General, Super Grip, and Primex products.  Located in the heart of coal country, we specialize in underground mine tires and wheels.

For our medium commercial truck tire customers we provide 24 hour emergency road service.  Additionally, our GTRACS retread system allows a customer to track the performance of his casings.

Our full-service retail stores offer complete under-car  and tire services.  We strive to provide excellent service at a fair price, as well as a clean and comfortable environment for our customers.
